A half day at Al Qarah Mountain, the rock that rises out of the farmland of Al Ahsa. It stretches over 1.5 kilometres and is cut through by 28 narrow, high caverns; Al Nashab is one of the named ones. Walking between the rock walls is the whole point of the visit, and the paths are short.
The Al-Ahsa Oasis is the landscape the mountain sits in: more than 85 square kilometres of palm gardens, canals and springs. The Saudi tourism authority lists Al Qarah as suited to families, and the walking is easy enough for children to manage.
