Wadi Hanifa flows for 120 kilometres through the capital and is its largest natural park, with shaded trails, landscaped gardens and plenty of room for families. No ticket is needed. This half day is a walk along the water and the planted sections, taken slowly.
The second half is spent at Al-Bujairi Heritage and Tourism Park, a green space set among palm trees, on the Diriyah side of the city. Anyone who wants the history as well can add At-Turaif District, on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2010, as an extension to the day.
