A half day on foot in Hofuf, in Al Ahsa: the old market rows first, then Qasr Ibrahim in the Al-Kut quarter. The fort covers over 18,000 square metres, and its domes, arches and prayer hall are what most people end up spending their time on. No ticket is needed to go in.
The two stops are close enough to join into one walk, so the driving is short and the day is mostly spent out of the vehicle. Hofuf stands inside the Al-Ahsa Oasis, which UNESCO listed in 2018, and the oasis itself makes a good second half day.
