The day opens at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia, whose galleries run from the prehistoric ages to the modern era, then moves to Al Masmak Palace in the old centre, built in the hijri 14th century as a residence and a seat of power.
After a break the route heads north-west to At-Turaif District, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2010 and the seat of the Emirate of Diriyah, the first Saudi state of 1727 to 1818. The last stop is a view over the modern city before the drop-off.
