Taif sits in the mountains, and its farms, orchards and traditional markets are as much a part of the city as its scenery. The harvest only runs for part of the year: outside that window the distilleries are quiet, so you see the plant rather than the process, and you will be told which of the two you are getting before you book. If you are coming up for the day from Jeddah, say so and the start time is set around the drive.

Pick-up and the farms
Hotel pick-up in Taif and a short drive out to the farm roads. Time walking a farm, with the grower explaining how the rows are worked.
The distillery
On to a distillery to see what happens to the petals after they are picked. Time to ask questions and to buy from the producer directly if you want to, then drop-off back at your hotel in Taif.
