A half day in the water at Umluj. You are collected from your hotel and taken out by boat to reef close to the shore, then snorkel in short sessions with a guide in the water alongside you. The pace is easy and you can sit out any session you want to.
Everything happens on the Red Sea side of the country, on a coastline that runs for more than 1,700 kilometres. Beginners are fine here, since the water is shallow and you stay within sight of the boat throughout.
Day by day
Morning
Pick-up from your hotel and a short transfer to the boat. The guide runs through the kit and the plan, then you head out to the first snorkelling spot.
Midday
A second and third session at nearby spots, with rests and water on deck in between, then back to the harbour and on to your hotel.
