A half day on Al Hada, the mountain above Taif. Al Hada is one of the Sarawat mountains, and the road up it turns back on itself again and again, with places to pull in at the bends and look straight down the slope. There is a cable car here as well, and the ride gives you the same drop from a different line.
The route is much older than its tarmac: its history goes back around a thousand years and it has traditionally been known as Darb Al-Jammalah. No ticket is needed for the mountain itself, so the half day is really about stopping in the right places and having enough time at each. If you are travelling up from Jeddah, the start time can be moved to suit the drive.
